Guides are hands-on. Each one walks through a single task, shows the steps for Windows and Mac where they differ, ends with the errors people actually hit, and links to the official documentation if you prefer the source.
Getting Claude Code running
- Choosing a client - terminal, VS Code, desktop app, JetBrains or web: same agent, pick your window.
- Install the terminal client: Install Claude Code on Windows or Install Claude Code on Mac.
- Or pick a graphical client: Claude Code in VS Code, Claude Code in the desktop app, Claude Code in JetBrains.
- Your first session - the homework after lecture 01. Works in any client.
- Claude Code in the terminal - the essentials once it runs: modes, commands, several sessions.
Finding your way around
- Claude Code cheat sheet - keys, slash commands, permission modes and their labels, all on one printable page.
- Set up a status line - the live demo from lecture 02: one sentence, and Claude writes the two files itself.
- Reading the Claude Code screen - which lines to read, which to ignore, and when to press Esc.
- Working safely - the dos and don’ts: work on a copy, plan first, and what Esc Esc cannot undo.
Connecting your systems
- Connect Google Workspace - Gmail, Drive and Calendar two ways: the connector you switch on, and the
gwscommand-line program. What each can do, shown on Gmail. Goes with lecture 03.
Coming with later sessions
- Markdown in ten minutes
- Git for humans: save points for your files
- More ways in: an API key kept safe, and a program driven through its window
The Roadmap shows when each topic comes up.
